Why I chose this book

I chose the book Safe Haven because it's by nicholas sparks. Nicholas Sparks also wrote one of my favortie stories, 'The Last Song'. Since I enjoyed that story very much I figured I should give another one of his stories a try. 'The last Song' was turned into a movie and so was 'Safe Haven'. They must have to be pretty decent if they are turned into a movie. I mean why woud you turn a hideous book into a movie? A lot of people would probably not see it. I know I wouldn't! Another reason why I chose this book is because I've seen the movie and really liked it. I wanted to compare the two and see how different they were. See how much the director  hinders the details, and how true to the story it is. I wish all movies had the exact details as the book so I can actually visually see everything from the book. Does your book have a movie to were the movie is very true to the book?  Or were a lot of details changed or left out?

1.    What specific words/phrases demonstrate your writer’s voice? How do these words/phrases showcase your personality as a writer? "I mean why woud you turn a hideous book into a movie? A lot of people would probably not see it. I know I wouldn't" (Harrison). This shows how I really feel about it. Shows my opinion that if a book I don't like is made into a movie, I would not see it. With my voice, I'm very honest.

 

"I mean why woud you turn a hideous book.." (Harrison). I feel like my voice is very outgoing and sarcastic in a way. When I said a book is "hideous" I didn't actually mean the apperance of the book. I meant the way it was wrote, how I feel about it. This makes my voice unigue.

Diction:
"See how much the director hinders the details, and how true to the story it is' (Harrison).
I used hinder to use more strong diction. I could of used changed but instead of using changed I used hinder. This makes my voice sound more older.

Syntax
