Determine a Symbol : Safe Haven

The woman in Safe Haven that runs away has came off to me as keeping to herself. I think she's this way because of what has happened in her past. She doesn't want anyone to know about her messed up past life. She wants to move on and start over. She is very ancy because of this, gets worked up easily for example when she sees a cop she thinks their looking for her even though they aren't, she freaks out. She doesn't reallt want to make friends. This girl trys to make friends with her but she kinda comes off as not wanting a friendship. I think she does this so she doesn't get close to anyone, so she doesn't have to share her story.
